Managing Director

Nigel has 25 years experience as an Accountant but is not a stereotype.

Nigel started his career training in both large and medium sized practises during which time he gained a wide range of experience encompassing traditional disciplines such as Tax and Audit. Seeking new challenges Nigel moved into the commercial world where he attained the role of Chief Group Accountant for a large internationally owned Oil and Agrochemical Company. This role allowed Nigel to develop his knowledge of tax as well as experiencing the frustrations of being on the other side of the desk from professionals!

Nigel’s globetrotting came to an end in 1998 when his first son was born and the new challenge of working with smaller family businesses presented itself.

Director

Nikki is a Director of Ad Valorem and runs the operational and administrative functions of the business.

Her background is mainly in commerce, having worked for 11 years in London for a fast-expanding group of recruitment companies. Nikki joined the company at the age of 19 and was involved in the group’s growth from being one product area and 6 team members to four product areas, four branches and 70 team members. She was made a director of the company at the age of 24 and directly managed a team of 5, being responsible for the finance and administrative functions of the group for over 6 years. Although originally a family company, it was sold to a South African group in the late 80’s and Nikki was part of a management buy-back in the early 90’s.

Client Services Manager

Kirsty is Client Services Manager for Ad Valorem Accountancy Services and in January 2012 became Partner of Ad Valorem Sales & Marketing LLP.

Kirsty is the person you go to if you have a business issue that may benefit from traditional accountancy or growth focused advice.

Anything you want to know about Ad Valorem Kirsty is the person to speak to – it’s a case of don’t ask Jeeves ask Kirsty! Kirsty is a good listener; with excellent communication skills. She prides herself on her swift response to all client queries, either offering clear, concise advice or ensuring that any issue is dealt with promptly.

Kirsty works very closely with clients helping them grow and develop their businesses on a consultancy basis. Focusing on marketing, systems, people and processes enabling clients to achieve both their personal and business goals.

Kirsty started her career at Christies the Auctioneers in London and at the tender age of 20 became P.A. to the Marketing Director of a Global Management Consultancy whose clients included Coca Cola Schweppes.

Senior Tax Manager

Richard has ten years of experience within the Private Client tax practice of a Big Four firm during which time he gained a wealth of experience advising clients in areas as diverse as wealth preservation, new business structuring and tax efficient remuneration for employees.  

Richard moved to Ad Valorem at the start of 2012.  This move was prompted by a desire to get closer to the people he is advising. His focus is ensuring that individuals pay no more tax than they should, whether through their business or individually.
